Aerospace Caucus Co-chairs Estes, Carbajal Celebrate National Aviation History Month

Washington, November 8, 2023 | Roman Rodriguez (316-262-8992)
In celebration of National Aviation History Month, Reps. Ron Estes (R-Kansas) and Salud Carbajal (D-California), co-chairs of the House Aerospace Caucus, issued the following statements.

"In the Air Capital of the World and throughout the country, bold entrepreneurs and innovators are taking flight to the next level," said Rep. Estes. "These advances, however, would not be possible without the pioneers of aviation – people like Clyde Cessna, Lloyd Stearman, Olive Ann Beech and Amelia Earhart – who paved the way and to whom we look and celebrate this National Aviation History Month."

"Over the past 120 years, the birth and growth of American aviation has underpinned our nation’s place on the world stage," said Rep. Carbajal. "Our aviators have inspired billions over the years, and our continued innovation coins new pioneers with each new step in our history. As Co-Chair of the House Aerospace Caucus, I’m proud to help commemorate Aviation History Month and our many generations of those who have bravely explored our skies."

The House Aerospace Caucus proudly supports and promotes the American aviation and aerospace community in Congress. You can find a brief overview of U.S. aerospace history and highlights on the Aerospace Caucus website at estes.house.gov/aerospace.
