Headline: Reintroducing Legislation to Support Air Ambulances in Rural America

.Earlier this week I reintroduced the Protecting Air Ambulance Services for Americans Act with Sens. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) and Michael Bennet (D-Colorado), and Rep. Suzan Delbene (D-Wash.).

Our bipartisan legislation will ensure all Americans will have emergency access to hospitals and specialized providers regardless of their location. Specifically, the legislation will update Medicare reimbursement rates for emergency air services.

I’m pleased to reintroduce this legislation that is so critical for Kansans living in rural areas of our state.

.As a Member of the Ways and Means Committee, I recently traveled to Las Vegas and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library to hear directly from Americans about the benefits of the One Big, Beautiful Bill. My colleagues and I heard from a waiter, a food delivery driver, a cattle rancher and more.

I spoke about how the tax policies in the One Big, Beautiful Bill will provide certainty to Americans and small businesses. For example, we permanently extended and enhanced the 20% Small Business Deduction, meaning small mom-and-pop and family-owned small businesses will be empowered to hire more workers and reinvest in their operations.

The One Big, Beautiful Bill is a historic legislative achievement that will benefit Kansans by lowering taxes, increasing wages, bolstering take-home pay, and protecting jobs.

.Every year, I have the honor of nominating talented students from the 4th District to four of the U.S. service academies which include the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. The young men and women who attend a service academy receive a world-class education on a full-ride scholarship. They also commit to serving in the military for at least five years upon graduation.

I nominated 4th District Kansan Dominic Dickerson to the U.S. Military Academy a few years ago. He stopped by my office to share his experience at West Point and tips on the application process. You can watch Dominic’s remarks here.
