Aerospace Caucus Joins AIA for Lunch and Learn

The House Aerospace Caucus served as an honorary co-host for an AIA lunch and learn event with Aerospace Caucus members' staff on March 9. The briefing covered new civil aviation technologies coming to the nation's airspace and included panelists from Amazon, Supernal, Reliable Robotics and Honeywell. Throughout the panel discussion and question-and-answer period, emphasis was placed on the differences between new aviation technologies, regulatory challenges, and the perceived path to make new technologies a reality for commercial use. The panel noted some specific recommendations for Congress as FAA reauthorization approaches, previewed how global competition in this arena poses a short- and long-term challenge to address, and how industry continues to innovate.

The lunch and learn conversation was the Caucus' first event to be an honorary co-host and provided an opportunity for staff of Caucus members to engage in a robust discussion about new entrants.
