WICHITA, KS – Congressman Ron Estes (R-Kansas) announced on Friday that he will host town hall meetings in four counties on Thursday, August 24. Times and locations are as follows (subject to change):
8am-9:30am Newman University, De Mattias Fine Arts Center, 3100 McCormick, Wichita 11am-12pm William Newton Hospital (Basement meeting room), 1300 E. 5th, Winfield 2pm-3pm Point Events Center, 2101 Dearborn, Augusta 4pm-5pm Newton Public Library, 720 Oak St, Newton
“Congress has work to do, and constituents are counting on us to get important things done right,” Estes said. “Hearing the ideas of my fellow Kansans and taking their concerns back to Washington is truly an honor.” The listening tour is scheduled as part of the Congressman’s ongoing work period across the 4th District, during the House’s summer recess. So far in August, Congressman Estes has engaged with thousands of constituents through visits to higher education/workforce training programs, industry and agriculture tours, farm bureau meetings, parades and county fairs, chambers of commerce presentations, business roundtables, and meetings with military service members and veterans groups. Ron Estes is a 5th generation Kansan and represents Kansas’ 4th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. He serves on the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, and the House Committee on Homeland Security. ### |
