Estes Visits Wolf Creek Nuclear Generating Station

WICHITA, KS - Congressman Ron Estes, a member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, released the following statement today after touring the Wolf Creek nuclear generating station in Burlington, Kansas:

"It's important that we continue to ensure that America's nuclear facilities are secure," said Rep. Estes. "Wolf Creek is Kansas' first nuclear power generating station and is a great example of how security should be managed. I value the dedication of the staff at Wolf Creek. Their work guarantees that Kansans have safe, reliable, and affordable energy. " 

Ron Estes is a 5th generation Kansan and represents Kansas' 4th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. He serves on the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, and the House Committee on Homeland Security.
