WASHINGTON—Congressman Ron Estes (R-Kansas) issued the following statement on Tuesday following the Trump administration's announcement to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program: “I support President Trump’s reversal of this unconstitutional Obama-era executive order. This decision gives Congress time to fix our broken immigration system. Congress can do this by securing our borders, reviewing our immigration process, and not providing amnesty to those who disregard our nation’s laws.” Ron Estes is a 5th generation Kansan and represents Kansas’ 4th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. He serves on the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, and the House Committee on Homeland Security. |
