Rep. Estes To Meet with Top Leaders in Israel

WASHINGTON— Congressman Ron Estes (R-Kansas) will travel to Israel today to participate in a series of meetings and site visits to gain a firsthand understanding of regional challenges and America's relationship with Israel. Rep. Estes will be joined by a bipartisan delegation of Members of Congress.

"Israel is America's strongest ally in the Middle East and this delegation visit serves to strengthen our bond and educate Members of Congress about the challenges facing Israel and the region," said Rep. Estes. "I look forward to discussing the latest tools Israel is using in its fight against terrorism, as well as opportunities for peace with leaders from throughout the region."

Rep. Estes will learn more about the U.S.-Israel relationship, the peace process, Israel's security situation and important political and economic trends in the region. Rep. Estes will also meet with senior Israeli and Palestinian leaders and explore opportunities for bilateral economic and technological cooperation.

Rep. Estes is a strong supporter of Israel and has cosponsored numerous bills and resolutions, including the Strengthening America's Security in the Middle East Act of 2019, the Partnership Fund for Peace Act of 2019, the United States-Israel Security Assistance Authorization Act of 2018 and recent anti-BDS legislation.

The trip is sponsored by the American Israel Educational Foundation.

Ron Estes is a 5th generation Kansan and represents Kansas’ 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He serves on the House Committee on Ways and Means.
