Rep. Estes Releases Statement on Retirement of Kansas Adjutant General Maj. Gen. Lee Tafanelli

WASHINGTON–Congressman Ron Estes (R-Kansas) released the following statement on the retirement of Maj. Gen. Lee Tafanelli, the adjutant general of Kansas:

"I want to thank Major General Tafanelli for his service to our state and country throughout nearly 40 years in uniform," said Rep. Estes. "In addition to his extensive service in our armed forces, Maj. Gen. Tafanelli has helped our state prepare for, respond to and recover from numerous natural disasters and other threats as adjutant general of Kansas and director of Kansas Emergency Management and Homeland Security. I am thankful for his leadership and look forward to working with him for the remainder of his tenure."

Ron Estes is a 5th generation Kansan and represents Kansas’ 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He serves on the House Committee on Ways and Means.
