WASHINGTON – Congressman Ron Estes (R-Kansas) released the following statement applauding the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for taking measures to provide regulatory relief to the general aviation industry.
“The general aviation industry is part of our way of life in Wichita, the Air Capital of the World. I’m glad the FAA adapted regulations to provide safe and practical relief during this time,” said Rep. Estes. “I will continue to work with the FAA and the Trump administration to ensure that the needs of this industry are met.” The FAA’s action safely provides regulatory relief to operators, pilots, and other FAA certificate holders who have been unable to comply with specific training benchmarks due to the public health crisis. It also safely provides relief to certain flight schools and FAA medical certificates. More information can be found here. Ron Estes is a 5th generation Kansan and represents Kansas’ 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He serves on the House Committee on Ways and Means. |
