WASHINGTON—Congressman Ron Estes (R-Kansas) issued the following statement after the House gave final approval to the FY 2018 Budget Resolution, which will allow tax reform legislation to proceed: “Today we're one step closer to fixing our outdated tax code, which over the past three decades has grown to be more than 74,000 pages," said Rep. Estes. "Simplifying our national tax code will make life easier for families in Kansas who are sick of wasting their time dealing with the IRS. I'm excited to see tax relief legislation enacted that will boost our economy and improve the lives of struggling families across our community.” Ron Estes is a 5th generation Kansan and represents Kansas’ 4th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. He serves on the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, and the House Committee on Homeland Security. |
