WASHINGTON – Rep. Ron Estes (R-Kansas) released the following statement after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized emergency use for a COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer and BioNTech, marking another milestone for Operation Warp Speed.
 
"American ingenuity is one step closer to defeating COVID-19 with today's FDA emergency use authorization announcement," said Rep. Estes. "For months, the best and brightest scientists, doctors and manufacturers have developed a safe and effective vaccine that will help restore our nation and save lives. Thanks to bipartisan efforts in Congress and the direction of the Trump administration, Operation Warp Speed is proving to be a successful program that has now safely produced the first of several life-saving vaccines."
