WICHITA – Today Rep. Ron Estes (R-Kansas) applauded the VA's list of 128 additional sites receiving COVID-19 vaccines, including the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita, Dwight D. Eisenhower VA Medical Center in Leavenworth, and Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center in Topeka.
"As our nation continues battling COVID-19 with the recently authorized Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, it is encouraging to know that Wichita's Dole VA Medical Center is now scheduled to receive vaccines," said Rep. Estes. "Thanks to Operation Warp Speed and the incredible science community, health care workers at Dole will soon have greater protection as they care for veterans, with more vaccines coming for an even greater number of Kansans." The VA announced 128 sites that will receive COVID-19 vaccines after announcing other VA locations last week. In a press release, the VA said, "Per Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations, VA will continue to vaccinate health care personnel, as well as community living center and spinal cord unit residents. As vaccine supplies increase, VA's ultimate goal is to offer COVID-19 vaccinations to all Veterans and employees who want to be vaccinated." Ron Estes is a 5th generation Kansan and represents Kansas’ 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He serves on the House Committee on Ways and Means. |
