Rep. Estes Votes Against the CASH Act
Washington,
December 28, 2020
WASHINGTON – Rep. Ron Estes (R-Kansas) released the following statement after voting against the CASH Act.
"Last week's bipartisan COVID-19 relief package provided targeted assistance to hurting families and small businesses through extended unemployment, the Paycheck Protection Program and eliminating surprise medical billing, but it was coupled with Speaker Pelosi's bloated omnibus spending bill," said Rep. Estes. "Now, Speaker Pelosi is ready to send more checks to millions of Americans who have not lost a paycheck while completely ignoring the rightful outrage from Kansans regarding the billions in unnecessary spending. I'm grateful that President Trump is utilizing his authority to delay some of the egregious funds in the omnibus spending bill, allowing Congress to revisit and rescind these misguided allocations." Ron Estes is a 5th generation Kansan and represents Kansas’ 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He serves on the House Committee on Ways and Means. |
