WASHINGTON – Yesterday Rep. Ron Estes (R-Kansas) recognized and honored the U.S. Capitol Police at the Congressional Football Game – a charity game featuring Members of Congress and former NFL players facing off against U.S. Capitol Police. Rep. Estes has supported the event's efforts to provide our U.S. Capitol Police resources. The game honored the men and women of the U.S. Capitol Police and raised funds to help families of fallen officers.

“The Congressional Football Game is a time for members on both sides of the aisle to come together for a great cause,” said Rep. Estes. “It’s crucial that we support those who protect us.”

Along with contributing to the Capitol Police Memorial Fund, the Congressional Football Game donates to Our Military Kids, a group that provides grants to children of deployed National Guard and Reserve personnel as well as to children of severely injured Service Members, and to A Advantage 4 Kids, a nonprofit created to aid individuals and families in need.
