WASHINGTON – Today, Rep. Ron Estes (R-Kansas) announced his committee and subcommittee assignments for the 118th Congress. Rep. Estes will continue serving on the House Committee on Ways and Means, the oldest standing committee of the House. He will continue his tenure on the Trade and Taxes Subcommittees, as well as return to the Social Security Subcommittee. Also this Congress, Rep. Ron Estes will begin serving on the Budget Committee, and he is returning to the Education and the Workforce Committee – a committee on which he served in the 115th Congress
"Impacting legislation dealing with taxes, trade, Social Security, federal spending, and education is helpful for Kansas families, small businesses, farmers, and ranchers," said Rep. Estes. "These committees and subcommittees align with the needs of our district, and I'm honored to be working hard on behalf of Kansans in this Congress." This Congress, Rep Estes has been asked to serve on the budget Committee and the Education and the Workforce Committee in addition to his continued work on Ways and Means. Typically members serving on the House Ways and Means only receive one committee assignment. However, Rep. Estes' background and experience has resulted in more committee assignments from GOP leadership. |
