Today, Rep. Ron Estes (R-Kansas) released the following statement after voting to expel George Santos of New York from the U.S. House of Representatives.
 
"Serving in the United States House of Representatives is an honor and a privilege. The now-former Representative George Santos' actions were not only unbecoming of a Member of Congress, but the facts reported by the Ethics Committee point to numerous violations of House rules and federal law, rendering him unfit to serve in this distinguished institution. While I wish he had taken the honorable approach and resigned, today's vote gives New Yorkers the opportunity to elect the representation they choose."
