Rep. Estes Votes Against Washington's Wasteful Spending

WASHINGTON – Today Rep. Ron Estes (R-Kansas) voted against a package of spending bills, commonly referred to as a "minibus," that will cost taxpayers $1.2 trillion.

"At $34.5 trillion in debt and when we're borrowing $95,000 per second, there is no reason to continue pushing forward reckless spending full of pet projects and waste that doesn't benefit Kansans," said Rep. Estes. "We must change our fiscal trajectory now instead of continuing down the same path of consolidated spending packages in 1,000-plus page bills that only worsen our country's fiscal crisis."
