Congressman Estes Supports Action on Iran Nuclear Deal

WASHINGTON—Congressman Ron Estes (R-Kansas), a member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, released the following statement on President Trump’s action to pull the United States of America out of the Iran Nuclear Deal and institute sanctions on the country:

“Protecting the interests of America and of our allies around the world is paramount, and President Obama’s disastrous Iran deal has not helped us achieve either goal,” said Rep. Estes. “Reinstituting sanctions on Iran sends a strong message that America will not tolerate state sponsors of terror and those who undermine efforts to achieve peace. I support the Trump administration’s commitment to denuclearization in Iran and throughout the world, and wish Secretary of State Pompeo well as he travels to North Korea and represents our country in this effort.”

Rep. Estes was elected to succeed Mike Pompeo as the representative for Kansas’ 4th District in April 2017.

Ron Estes is a 5th generation Kansan and represents Kansas’ 4th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. He serves on the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, and the House Committee on Homeland Security.
