WASHINGTON—Congressman Ron Estes (R-Kansas) released the following statement on the 2018 Farm Bill:
“Kansans understand the value of hard work, so it’s unfortunate that Nancy Pelosi and congressional democrats are holding Kansas farmers and ranchers hostage over requiring able-bodied people to work for food stamps,” said Rep. Estes. “The farm bill would provide needed certainty for Kansas farmers and ranchers by protecting crop insurance and repealing burdensome Obama-era regulations like the Waters of the U.S. rule. I will continue to fight for Kansas farmers and ranchers and urge Nancy Pelosi and congressional democrats to stop playing political games with the farm bill.” Ron Estes is a 5th generation Kansan and represents Kansas’ 4th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. He serves on the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, and the House Committee on Homeland Security. |
