WASHINGTON—Congressman Ron Estes (R-Kansas) released the following statement on today’s preliminary court hearing for Tyler Barriss, who is accused of placing a false emergency swatting call last year:

“I look forward to swift action in this court case and to continuing our efforts in Congress to prevent future swatting incidents,” said Rep. Ron Estes.

Ron Estes is a 5th generation Kansan and represents Kansas’ 4th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. He serves on the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, and the House Committee on Homeland Security.
