WASHINGTON—Congressman Ron Estes (R-Kansas) released the following statement regarding today's announcement by the U.S. Air Force and Boeing that the first round of KC-46A aircraft will be delivered in October 2018:

“The needed and overdue delivery of new KC-46 tankers is great news for our country, and I am proud McConnell Air Force Base is slated to receive the first round," said Rep. Ron Estes. "The Airmen at McConnell have been working tirelessly to prepare for this delivery. I look forward to continuing efforts to fund the pipeline for additional KC-46 tankers to replace 60-year-old airframes that are essential for our ability to bring the fight to the enemy.”
