WASHINGTON—Representative Ron Estes (R-Kansas) released the following statement on Wichita being selected to host the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight rounds of the 2022 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament:
“I am proud Wichita and our community will once again be on full display for the nation for the 2022 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament,” said Rep. Ron Estes. “This is great news for our overall economy and thousands of small businesses and we look forward to once again hosting a successful tournament.” Ron Estes is a 5th generation Kansan and represents Kansas’ 4th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. He serves on the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, and the House Committee on Homeland Security. |
