WASHINGTON—Congressman Ron Estes (R-Kansas) issued the following statement after the U.S. Senate voted to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court:
 
“Congratulations to Justice Kavanaugh on his confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court,” said Rep. Estes. “Despite a political and divisive confirmation process, the U.S. Senate was given an opportunity to thoroughly vet Kavanaugh with information from seven background investigations, more than a thousand written responses, hours of testimony and personal meetings with Senators. Justice Kavanaugh is clearly a qualified jurist and I'm confident he will serve with honesty and integrity.”

Ron Estes is a 5th generation Kansan and represents Kansas’ 4th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. He serves on the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, and the House Committee on Homeland Security.
