WASHINGTON—Congressman Ron Estes (R-Kansas) released the following statement on today's signing of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement by President Donald Trump, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto:

“The US-Mexico-Canada Agreement is a big win for Kansas and our country,” said Rep. Estes. “This deal opens more markets for Kansas farmers, boosts wages for manufacturers, and modernizes NAFTA for the 21st century. Free and fair trade is the best policy to grow our economy and I am pleased President Trump has delivered on another promise. I look forward to continuing to review the final deal with my colleagues in Congress and giving final approval.”

Ron Estes is a 5th generation Kansan and represents Kansas’ 4th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. He serves on the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, and the House Committee on Homeland Security.
