As your Representative in Congress, I am a fierce advocate for free and fair trade and will continue fighting to protect Kansans during trade negotiations. I am actively working with the Trump administration and my fellow members of the USMCA whip team to modernize and improve the United Sates-Mexico-Canada Agreement, as well as other trade deals. Unfortunately, bringing countries to the table has involved implementing tariffs on trading partners like China, and Kansas’ farmers and manufacturers feel the burden. While China has been employing dishonest trade practices for years, tariffs should not be a long-term solution.
There is a public process for appeals regarding tariff exclusion requests from section 232 and 301 tariffs. If you or your business has been negatively affected by tariffs, here are the steps you can take for relief.
